Introduction

Thank you for downloading and using our Income and Cost Budget Software. This software is available for free. Please continue to read our guidelines below to start using the software.


Step 1a: Personal – Empty Fields

After launching the program you will be presented with the screen below. On this page the person using the software can enter his personal information but it is not mandatory to complete.


Step 1b: Personal – Populated with Data

The Name, Surname and Farm Name fields can contain any data you require. It is only used when creating printouts from within the software.

To continue to the next step you can either click on the next TAB just below the header or click Next Page near the bottom of the window.


Step 2a: Gross Income – Empty Fields

There are three columns available to populate with data. To activate the corresponding data fields below each crop title you have to select a crop from each respective drop down box or enter your own unique crop if not on the list.


Step 2b: Gross Income – Populated with Data

The following window show an example with data populated into two of the columns. The text in blue are sample data derived from the Protein Research Foundation website. Data samples are purely for reference and will in no way influence your calculations. To select the sample data for a specific region click and select one of the two drop boxes ie. Canola and Wheat or Soybean Maize Sunflower. Take note that the third column is deactivated because no text was entered into its crop field.

Step 3a: Variable Costs – Empty Fields

Variable costs are common to every calculation and basically required for every calculation. Refer to the Protein Research Foundation website or the included sample data discussed in Step 2.


Step 3b: Variable Costs – Populated with Data

This window simply shows a few possible values.

To continue to the next step you can either click on the next TAB just below the header or click Next Page near the bottom of the window. You can also go back to the previous step by clicking on the Previous Page button.


Step 4a: Other Costs – Empty Fields

Other Variable Costs are freeform data fields. Here the user may enter additional fields as required. Remember to enter data into the applicable Labour Costs field(s) second line from the bottom.


Step 4b: Other Costs – Populated with Data

The following windows show a few possible values. Remember to enter data into the applicable Labour Costs field(s) second line from the bottom.

To go back to the previous step you can either click on the previous TAB just below the header or click Previous Page near the bottom of the window.


Interest on Working Capital

A pre-entered value for Interest on Working Capital is entered by default. You may leave it as it is, or change it to the current rate of interest.

Actions

Like all other programs you can Save a project, Load a previous project, Create New project and Print information. Click on File in the Menu near the top of the window to perform these actions. You can also select two different languages. These will simply change the titles of the form to the selected language. Take note that by changing the language you will not interfere with the data you entered ie. it will not alter the values you entered.
